Ted Allen, host of the popular Food Network program “Chopped,” may have inadvertently “outed” fellow network star Anne Burrell.
In an interview with SiriusXM radio host Romaine Patterson, the foodie made mention the he had recently met Burrell’s girlfriend.
“I’m not going to put a label on Anne, but she is dating a woman right now,” Allen, who reportedly went on to explain that the woman in question works at Chicago eatery Avec, is quoted as saying. “She was really cool.”
Burrell is one of the most popular of the Food Networks roster of television stars. The “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef” host has been the subject of much speculation about her sexuality. She has chosen to remain quiet about the particulars of her personal life.
Ted Allen’s interview with Romaine Patterson is scheduled to air on Monday, May 21st on the show Sirius OutQ 108.
