Under the heading of has-been actors, Former sitcom star Jimmie Walker has come out publicly against gay marriage…sort of. In an attempt to remain relevant, Walker, who is out shilling for his new memoir, told CNN that he is totally against gay marriage, but feels that its passage is somewhat of an inevitability.
“There’s just certain traditions that need to be upheld,” says the 65-year-old comedian. “I’m a believer that gay marriage should be passed because the battle is not worth the war. The gay lobby is very loud. I’m totally against it.”
The “Dy-no-mite” dude was called to the carpet recently for comments he made to conservative TV host Bill O’Reilly, slamming President Barack Obama as being “not the man for the job.”
