File this under the category of disappointing,
but not terribly surprising, that former democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards has been named in the case against New York “Millionaire Madam” Anna Gristina. According to The Huffington Post, an alleged former “employee” of Ms. Gristina’s operation has apparently told investigators that she was paid to engage in sexual activity with the former U.S. Senator while he was campaigning for the presidency.
The alleged encounter took place at an Upper East Side hotel suite and was arranged by an aide with help from a New Yorker familiar with Gristina’s prostitution ring when Sen. Edwards campaign visited New York City in 2007; an allegation Edwards vehemently denies.
Edwards is the first high-profile name mentioned in relation to the case against Gristina.
